Weekly Police Brief 12/06/2024

DISTURBANCE/WARRANT SERVICE-RP called advising that there is an individual on scene intoxicated and causing problems. RP advised that she knocked the windshield out of his brother’s vehicle.  

POSS DRUG PARA-Officer checked out on a vehicle parked in the back of the parking lot. The sole occupant was contacted, and an odor of marijuana was detected. The individual was cooperative and handed over a tin of marijuana.

THEFT/CRIM TRESPASS-Walmart AP advising of an individual inside the store stealing Pokémon cards. The individual passed all points of sale and contact was made; he cooperated the entire time. It was determined that $248 worth of Pokémon were taken. All was recovered. CTW was issued.

PUBLIC SERVICE-RP came to the PD wanting to file charges on her estranged husband for stealing $2,000 to pay his credit card bills.

ASSIST OTHER AGENCY-Tyler Pd received a call from the manager advising that an individual was sitting in the driveway passed out behind the wheel and did not appear to be breathing. Officers arrived to find an individual, appears to have overdosed on prescription meds. Narcan was administered EMS arrived on scene and before they left, the individual was responsive. 

ASSIST SCSO-stated they had a subject wielding a knife at people and another person had pulled a gun in self-defense. Subject was contacted by deputies and arrested for Agg Assault. 

ASSIST STATE PARK-Officer had subj stopped on traffic and was trying to do SFST’s but subj was not being compliant and was argumentative. Requested another officer for assistance. Subj later arrested for DWI 2nd.

THEFT-Subj entered the store with gf. Went behind the counter and took a pack of rolling papers for approx. value of $2.50. When asked to stop he cursed at the manager and left. 

LOUD NOISE-Speakers playing loud music from rose nursery. Advised the RP that we would reach out to company in the morning and seek a remedy before enforcing ordinance or state law.
