Lindale Police Weekly Brief ending 7/10/2026
THEFT-RP called to report lime stones were stolen from a pallet behind the building. RP had video of the incident which showed the vehicle pulling into the area and an individual loading the stones and driving off. Items were returned to the location and RP stated they would not file charges since the items were returned.
MENTAL HEALTH WELFARE CHECK-RP called stating someone knocked on the door and expressed self-harm by cutting their arms with scissors. The individual stated they did intent to harm themselves, and it was due to a video game they were playing. EMS was called to the scene and the individual volunteered to go to the hospital for evaluation.
POW-Officers were called to a residence for an EMS assist. RP stated they had a psychotic break from going through four years of cancer treatment and then being declared cancer free. Due to the circumstance and health condition, EMS transported for observation due to the disregard for their own health and safety.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED-A vehicle was stopped for running the four-way stop. The driver exhibited physical symptoms of alcohol intoxication and stated they had a beer earlier in the evening. The individual was placed under arrest for DWI based on driving observations, admission of drinking alcohol, and physical symptoms.
WELFARE CHECK-Officers responded to assist EMS with a report of an intoxicated individual that fell. The individual was contacted and found to be very intoxicated and was advised to stay in their room or face a public intoxication charge.
WELFARE CHECK-RP called to request a welfare check on RP’s neighbor. Upon contact with officers, the neighbor was found to be having difficulty living on their own. The house was cluttered and trash found scattered about, but not an immediate safety or health issue. APS was contacted to try and get the individual connected with services.
ASSIST EMS-Officers were requested by EMS to assist with an individual hallucinating related to insomnia. Due to prior responses and confrontations at the residence, EMS staged and waited for PD. The individual was contacted and went voluntarily for further medical treatment and evaluation.
WARRANT ARREST-Officers responded to a slide-off accident on eastbound I20 and Toll 49. While conducting a license check the driver was found to have an active warrant out of Oklahoma for felony evasion with full extradition. There was also an alert for being an active gang member out of Dallas. The warrant was confirmed and individual was taken into custody without incident.
