Lindale Police Brief – Week ending 5/15/2026
DWLI-Officers initiated a traffic stop on an individual who had multiple class C warrants from our jurisdiction as well as multiple convictions for driving while license invalid, which brought the offense to a Class B Misdemeanor. The individual was taken to Smith County Jail.
Fraud-Officers responded to location for report of an individual who came to a store using name and account of account holder to make fraudulent purchases in store.
Warrant Service-A traffic stop led to arrest for two Aggravated Kidnapping warrants out of Henderson Co.
DWLI-Officers initiated a traffic stop on an individual who did not have a DL due to being ineligible from previous DWLI charges. The individual was taken to jail without incident.
Theft-Officers responded for a report of a theft. The homeowner stated he had been renting to two tenants who had not been paying rent and were evicted. Upon inspecting the home, RP found the fuse panel, breakers, and the copper wiring had been taken from the house.
Possession Controlled Substance-A vehicle was stopped on the interstate for traffic violations, and the driver consented to a vehicle search. During the search, two glass water pipes with methamphetamine residue were located. Several plastic baggies of methamphetamine, totaling about 4.5 grams, and a hypodermic syringe used to inject methamphetamine were also found.
