Lindale Police Brief – Week ending 3/27/2026
ASSIST EMS–Staff requested police assistance with a discharged patient refusing to leave after being discharged. Officers arrived on scene, and the subject was CT’d after refusing to leave after being medically cleared and discharged.
FRAUD / THEFT–Officers were called for a fraudulent return to Walmart then short- scanned items.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE–A Door Dash driver was making suspicious comments while at a store pertaining to the customer they were delivering to. The restaurant canceled the order with the driver/no offence occurred. No report was made.
DAMAGED PROPERTY–An unknown vehicle hit mailbox at a residence, causing very minor damage. No witnesses, no cameras. RP did not wish to file report.
THEFT–RP advised an individual stole ice, food and cigarettes from store. Officers searched the area to locate subject, UTL. RP declined to press charges.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE–RP advised a group of kids was running around neighborhood for third night in a row knocking on doors. Officers contacted the group of kids from the neighborhood. Officers contacted the children’s parents and they returned home. There was no damage at any residences.
ASSIST EMS–The subject had a seizure during a garage sale and officers assisted until Fire and EMS arrived on scene. The patient was later transported for observation.
THEFT–Two individuals were in the AP office for theft of $142.91. Officers CT’d both subjects took them to jail.
SHOPLIFTING–An individual stole $211.67 worth of merch. A CT was issued and the individual was taken to jail.
911 HANG UP CALL–An individual called and said “I need the cops” then disconnected. Officers were not able to reach the individual on call back. Officers arrived and both parties had similar stories, no injuries reported and no criminal offense.
BURGLARY–An alarm company called in burg alarm. The owner confirmed and requested dispatch.
BURGLARY–A neighboring business noticed the door and window busted out and called PD. The business owner was contacted.
THEFT–A theft over $500 was reported to officers.
ACCIDENT–An accident on the I-20 E 553 exit caused a full lane blockage. One individual was transported to hospital.
