Lindale Police Brief – Week ending 1/2/2026

PUBLIC SERVICE-RP wants an officer to contact a neighbor who is circling the neighborhood in a vehicle, taking photos of RP.

POW-Officer was working an accident and witnessed an individual swinging at their spouse trying to get away from them. Officer intervened and learned that the individual had Alzheimer’s and was trying to run across the road. Due to ongoing issues, individual was transported to hospital under a POW.

SUSP CIRCUMSTANCE-Officers were dispatched to contact an individual who advised that someone in the field behind Whataburger is shooting at him. Officers learned the individual is extremely 10-96 and was talking to people that were not there.

FIREWORKS-Caller stated fireworks are coming from across the woods. Officers checked and remained in the area and never heard fireworks. 

ASSIST EMS-RP called for an ambulance regarding roommate laying on the couch moaning, possibly on drugs. Units arrived and cleared the scene for EMS as they were staged. EMS transported to hospital.

PUBLIC SERVICE-RP came to the PD to have an officer look at their driver’s license that they received from DMV. RP advised they were told by two different businesses that the DL was fake. Officer Determined the DL is real but the newest version. 

MINOR IN POSSESSION ALCOHOL-traffic stop -Officers observed individuals consuming alcoholic beverages while driving. Issued a citation for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and for Minor in possession of Tobacco.

MENTAL HEALTH WELFARE CHECK-A nurse called requesting a welfare check on an individual going through a divorce and is getting adjusted to the VA System which can be very frustrating. Nurse advised they were making statements about harming themselves. 

FOUND PROPERTY-Officers were dispatched in reference to a package that contained marijuana.
