Lindale Police Brief – Week ending 8/20/2025

WELFARE CHECK-Police received a report of 2 young individuals walking along IH 20 carrying backpacks. Officers arrived and found two individuals walking to a different county and gave courtesy transport.

ASSIST SCSO-Police received a call transferred from SCSO about a missing person. RP stated the individual was supposed to be at RP’s house for dinner at 5 p.m. and the individual has not been seen or heard from. Last possible location was in Lindale. Officers checked for the vehicle but failed to locate. SCSO later found the individual suffering a medical issue.

ASSIST SCSO-SCSO called requesting an officer make contact with an individual who is sitting in a vehicle and is reported to be suicidal. 

DISTURBANCE-RP advised a friend was staying in the house and who has been told to leave is not leaving. 

PUBLIC INTOXICATION-RP stated an individual at the store appeared to be very out of it, and RP was concerned about individual driving. Officers determined the individual was under the influence of a possible controlled substance.

AGENCY ASSIST-Tyler pd received multiple reports of a large fight and shots fired at the location. Subj ran from officers but were quickly detained. Tyler pd arrived and took control of the scene. Once the area was deemed safe all Lindale units went 10-8.
