Lindale Police Report ending 8/1/2025

THEFT–RP reported a theft after having home improvement work completed. 

POW–Individual went to the ER stating they are going to hurt themselves and others. The individual was POW’d and transported to the hospital.

PI–Officers observed a person walking in the roadway, forcing cars to go around them. Officers found the person had open container and was intoxicated. They were charged with PI and transported to Smith Co Jail.

BMV–Individual states they had tools stolen from the back of their truck while they were inside a store.

INQUEST–RP said they made plans with a friend the night before. RP made several attempts to contact the friend, including coming to the house but could not make contact. Officers located the friend deceased in their bed. 

WARRANT SERVICE–Officers conducted a traffic stop and the subj had an out of state warrant for a Sex Offender charge. The warrant was confirmed, and the subj was taken to Smith County.

WEL CONCERN–Officers contacted an individual due to no one hearing from them in over a week. Subj did not charge their phone.

FRAUD–RP stated they gave personal information over the phone to someone stating they were from a Parrish in LA, where the RP is formerly from. The RP later learned the LA DMV had a data breach.
