Tyler—Police officials were alerted to man cashing more than $1,000 of stolen lottery tickets at Texas Lottery Office, 4801 Troup Highway. Ke’eric Armon Franklin was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to flee from police, according to Tyler Police officials.
The state lottery office alerted authorities around 11:30 a.m. that a suspect was attempting to redeem tickets that appeared to be stolen.1
Police determined that Franklin cashed $1,502 in stolen lottery tickets, working in conjunction with Gabrielle Hernandez. The second man has not been formally charged in the scheme.
Arrest records revealed that the tickets had been stolen in a burglary at a convenience store the night before.
