Patriot Golf Classic raises funds for scholarships

Tyler—The 2025 BMW of Tyler Patriot Golf Classic raised $130,600 to benefit The University of Texas at Tyler scholarship program. 

“We are grateful to the sponsors, volunteers and the community for their invaluable support in making a UT Tyler education more accessible and affordable,” said UT Tyler president Julie V. Philley, MD. “Each year, we unite with a shared purpose: the success of our students, and together we are transforming lives and empowering futures.” 

Since 1986, the Patriot Golf Classic has been one of the university’s largest annual fundraisers benefiting UT Tyler student scholarships at its four campuses. Proceeds fund an endowment that now totals nearly $3 million.
